Business English Writing Workshop

Customer Service CourseSlide1

Information is crucial to an organization and when this information is communicated in writing, the quality of such communications can have a significant impact on business performance and decision making.  Effective business writing is concise, accurate, unambiguous, logical and easily understood.  This intensive four-day course will help delegates to develop the skills necessary for successful business writing – be it reports, emails, letters, faxes and memos.  Although some basic grammar, spelling and punctuation will be covered, this is not the focus of the course. Students are expected to be competent users of Business English Writing.

accreditation

Business English Writing Workshop prepares you to pass BULATS (Business Language Testing Service) writing exam.

BULATS is increasingly accepted as proof of language ability for critical decisions such as immigration and university or college applications.  This provides test takers with a certificate that is accepted for situations where a secure test is required.

The BULATS writing test duration is 45 minutes, and it is divided into two parts:

Part 1: You type a short email/letter/message of 50–60 words.   Part 1 is a compulsory task and contributes one-third of the final mark.

Part 2: You type a report or a letter of 180–200 words following instructions.   There is a choice of tasks for Part 2 and it contributes two-thirds of the final mark.

The scoring system is as follows:
